I live on a small farm in Lancaster county Pennsylvania, with my amazing wife Allyson, our German Shepard Dante, our cats, Thel, Bodi, Mama, and Mia and our three chickens. We are currently working to renovate our farmhouse, which was originally built in the 1830s. Allyson's blog documents our homestead and renovation efforts thus far.
I was employed in security and law enforcement for the last 13 or so years, but recently, due to medical problems, found myself unemployed. So, this past fall, I decided to go back to school to finish a degree in psychology.
I attend the Friends (Quaker) meeting here in Lancaster. I feel a profound devotional connection to Christ, and am a student of Dr. David R. Hawkins and Devotional Non-Duality.I have respect for all The Great Teachers, and a deep appreciation of integral/non-dual religion/spirituality.
In 2002 and 2003 I studied traditional Japanese Reiki, Neuro Linguistic Programming/Psychology and Ericksonian Hypnotherapy extensively.
I love to travel. I was most recently in Hawaii with Ally's family. I have traveled twice in China, once in 1997 and again in 2005. The first trip was primarily for martial arts study. The second trip was to Tibet, Everest, and the surrounding Tibetan influenced provinces.I have also traveled in southern and central Europe.
I formally started martial arts in 1994 with Isshin ryu karate, arnis, judo and jujutsu. I studied judo and jujutsu for about 2.5 year to the rank of green belt. I continued with Isshin ryu because of its simplicity and directness. I also studied for a period of time in tae kwon do, chinese kenpo and kendo. I am currently investigating tai chi and the more "internal" arts.
I love books, reading and writing. I have an extensive martial arts DVD and video library as well as approx. 1500 books on martial arts alone.

Hi, my name is Diane, I am sensei fogleman's daughter. Not sure who wrote this blog, but thank you! My dad was a great man and one thing for sure.....he did love his family and his karate students. He always talked highly about all. He is truly missed but he is always watching from up above and praising all the good work his students do.
